Feng Shui Energy in the Bedroom

We always hear how important it is to properly feng shui the bedroom with placements. BUT we don't hear how important it is to sleep in the most auspicious (friendly feng shui energy) room.

Last week, I've been having the urge to write children's book again. But I find myself writing several blogs and upcoming video scripts instead, which I have not done in months. I have also noticed that both my children are reading more books last week and this week. (Yesterday, my 4-year-old read a Gerald and Piggie book all by herself, with help on 2 to 3 words. Most of the time, she would need help reading over half the book.)

What are the odds that all three of us, who sleep in the same room, became clever about the same time? Maybe it's the energy in our bedroom that promotes mental capability and intelligence this month?

Having an auspicious feng shui energy in the bedroom helps daily activities and general well-being because we sleep and absorb the these energies about 8 hours a day.

Of course, bed placements and other feng shui placements help too.

We are entering the first day of the 6th Chinese Solar Term of the year. Spring Equinox (Chunfen, 春分) is the midpoint for spring in the Chinese calendar where day and night are equally long.

The feng shui energy for today, March 21, 2023, is Enclosed.

I like to refer today's energy as Earth Day because the energy is low and non-moving as if it were living near or underground.

And thus, it is not a good day for major activities and events, especially not for groundbreaking events. Instead, today is a great day to create a space for growth and success. Whether it is in a room or in the mind, it's a great day for grounding, reflecting, asking questions, setting intentions, or planning ahead.

How to Identify Basic to Advanced Bagua Usage - Basic to Advanced Feng Shui

Feng shui can be so confusing. He does this. And she does that. Each practitioner has their own way of doing things. And nothing makes sense.

In this article, I am referring to a highly misinterpreted and misused feng shui tool, the Bagua.

Basic Feng Shui

Most people practice basic feng shui by placing a bagua map or chart over a space; thus dividing the space into 8 trigrams, 8 palaces, or 8 different directional compass.

What most people don't know is that this is not the correct way of using a bagua map. It is the very beginning or basic stage of feng shui.

This way of using bagua:

May or may not refer to the different direction that takes up 45 degrees.
Does not apply time.
May or may not reference to a compass reading.
Does not include a person's energy (Bazi/astrology/Kua/Gua/DOB).

Intermediate Feng Shui

Intermediate feng shui use the basic feng shui and the bagua map at another level. So instead of working with the difference of 45 degrees, intermediate feng shui works with the difference of 15 degrees, applies time, refers to a compass reading, looks at a person’s age, marital status, and family status, and focuses on the whole building and its center.

Refers and works with the difference of 15 degrees (each direction is divided into 3 parts).
Applies time.
Refers to a compass reading of a building.
Looks at a person's age, marital status, and family stautus.
Focuses on the building.

Intermediate-to-Advanced Feng Shui

Intermediate-to-advanced Feng Shui refines Intermediate Feng Shui. This level of feng shui works with 15-degree and applies to a person or thing within a room. Instead of working with the whole building, like in Intermediate Feng Shui, this level works positioning desks or beds within a room at 15 degrees placements.

Works with the difference of 15 degrees.
Applies time.
Refers to a compass reading of a person or thing in a room.
Specific to the person’s location in a space/room.
Fine tune using a person or thing as the focal point in a room.

Advanced Feng Shui

Advanced Feng Shui is a precision method that takes 360 degrees and divide it into 64 parts or 64 hexagrams where we work with, look at, and recommend the difference of 5.625 degrees. This method also includes a person's energy (aka Bazi/astrology/kua or gua/DOB). At this level, we work with both a person's energy and a building's energy.

Because we are working with 5.625 degrees, the chances of finding an auspicious Feng Shui earth energy that resonates or matches with a person's energy is slim. And so this method is not highly practiced.

Works with the difference of 5.625 degrees.
Applies time.
Refers to a compass reading of a building and a person.
Specify to a person’s energy (aka Bazi, Kua/Gua, astrology, or DOB).
Works with a combination or match energies between a person and a building.

Number 1 Must-Have Feng Shui Tool Also Used for Meditation and Manifesetation

Compass

The number 1 feng shui tool any feng shui master, consultant, practitioner, guru, or enthusiast must have is a compass.

And since most of my consultations are virtual, my clients must have a compass handy. At least, download a compass app onto their smartphone

Although my feng shui master is hesitant about a compass app, I have not had any issues as long as it's calibrated.

Luo Pan

A lou pan is a traditional feng shui tool. There are many knockoff luo pan for as low as $5 and as high as $30-$60 US dollars. But a good luo pan from a creditable source cost around $300 to $400 US dollars.

I do not advise any average person purchasing a luo pan because most of these luo pan from the internet do not work as well as a compass gear. And, most importantly, the average person would not be able to understand and read the different dials and information.

I recommend purchasing a good compass gear instead.

I have a SUUNTO A-10 compass gear, and I love it!
The cost of this compass is reasonable. But I love it most because it acts very similar to a luo pan where it has straight edges to obtain a compass reading.

Why a Compass?

A compass is important because the energy of the building or the feng shui DNA of the building depends on the direction the building faces.

A compass is also used to find the most auspicious feng shui directions for beds, desks, and computer/laptop screens.

I use a compass to find the most auspicious feng shui direction for client meetings, video recordings, tarot card readings, and other events.

Feng Shui Energy

All feng shui energies have different characteristic traits. And so, I use the different directions for different purposes and events.

Also, feng shui energies change every twenty (20) years, yearly, monthly, daily, and 2-hourly. And so I change direction for this reason as well.

Using Auspicious Feng Shui Direction for Manifestation

I also use a compass to find the most auspicious directions for meditation, visualization, and manifestation works. It makes sense that since I am currently practicing feng shui, I might as well combine other metaphysical methods to increase outcome.

And so, most of my meditation and manifestation works are done in my best wealth rooms, at my best money corners, and face the best feng shui direction.

Best Direction to Face for June, July, and August 2022

In the above YouTube video, I stated the most auspicious direction to face when meditating, visualizing, and manifesting for June, July, and August of 2022. But, that direction is a general auspicious feng shui direction.

I do not recommend using this direction to work at a work station because the permanent feng shui energy of the room and the desk placement are unknown. Working at an unknown feng shui location and placement for eight (8) plus hours everyday could be detrimental.

As for meditating and manifesting, these events do not go for long hours a day where negative feng shui energies would be absorbed enough to make a big negative impact.

But if anyone choose to take a risk of using the mentioned direction at a work station, watch for signs. Change direction once bad luck starts to occur.

Feng Shui Consultation Costs

A long time ago when I was ready to get a feng shui consultation for my 2-bedroom apartment, I couldn’t find a website that listed their prices. I had to fill out a bunch of questions and wait for someone to reach out to me weeks later.

When I started my feng shui business, I had a hard time setting my prices because I couldn’t base it on what other consultants were charging. And so I started consulting at a flat fee of $188USD for each home.

The below feng shui pricing are from unknown sources. I'm not sure how accurate they are and where they get their statistics, but this will help us have some idea on how much these feng shui consultation cost. I will also share how much some of my colleagues charge for their services, at least, those that were willing to share in our lineage.

Fixr noted that the average cost is $400 and that the typical price ranges between $200 and $1,500.

HomeAdvisor noted that the average cost is $827 and that the typical price ranges between $591 and $1,534.

Homesace had an average pricing of $700, where the typical price ranges between $300 and $1,500.

As for my colleagues, one of them charge by square footage of the space. I am not sure how much per square footage because he just started his feng shui business.

As for the two colleagues that were willing to share in our group, one of them charge a flat fee of $800 per home and the other one charge a flat fee of $1,000 per home.

As we can see, feng shui prices vary by a big degree because there are no regulations for feng shui. Some consultants charge a flat fee while others charge based on experience, size of home, hourly, number of people, complexity of the assessment, and many other variations.

At least, we now know that the maximum feng shui consultation for the last couple of years (2021-2022) should be no higher than $1,534 for a residential home. If it were over $1,500, it could be some pretty high-end assessment or that the home was a mansion.

It is exciting to know and activate best money corners. Some of the different tools to activate money corner can be read here.

And one of the tools on that list is by using a moving object to activate feng shui wealth energy in the best money corner. The bigger and faster these movements are, the bigger and faster these feng shui energies work.

I love using moving objects because it can be turned off during afflicted months. Please refer to your feng shui consultation report on when to turn off moving objects.

The below items are preferred moving objects.

Moving Pendulums

Grand clocks, wall clocks, or desk clocks that have moving pendulums are best moving objects to activate money corners.

Grand clocks that stand from the floor are high-priced and are usually heavy. For someone, like me, who move things around on a monthly basis, grand clocks are not an ideal moving object. So the next best items are wall and desk clocks.

It is best that the pendulum or the moving item is made of metal element. But if there are none that are attractive, then any other elements would work.

And so I prefer something smaller and have purchased this beautiful Howard Miller Paulina Wall Clock to activate my money corner. And since it's made of mostly metal iron, I've stop the pendulum and placed it in a room that needed more metal element.

Another metal wall clock by Howard Miller is the Howard Miller Ivana Wall Clock.

If Howard Miller clocks are out of your price range, some like this FirsTime & Co. wall clock might work for you.

Moving Desk Toys

Another great moving objects for money corners are desk toys. There are not-so-good, good, and better desk toys.

I purchased this balancing kinetic toy because it's cute. But this playful kinetic toy that represents my husband and child will not work in a money corner because it does not move on it's own. This is a bad desk toy for money corner.

Another desk toy that would not work, would be the Newton cradle balance balls. Although it's a fun toy to place on the desk, how often will the balls have to be swung? We want something that will move on its own throughout the day.

A better desk toy that I've purchased would be this battery-operated balancing kinetic toy. Unfortunately, my kids also love it, and so this item goes missing all the time.

Metal Fans

If clocks and desk toys are not attractive or if you are looking for something more discreet, metal fans are the best inconspicuous "feng shui items" to activate money corners.

Examples and Tips to Speed Up Money Luck

Let’s say that our best money corner is an office that generates a lot of money. Your current goal is to get into that office and generate lots of money too. You end up transferring into that office and now you are part of that team.

That office will have a certain type of office environment. It could be fun, challenging, ambitious, professional, face-paced, motivating, collaborative. It could be toxic or unhealthy. All you know is that that office generates lots of money, but really you wouldn’t know until you get there and worked there for a while.

That office environment is feng shui energy. It’s something we cannot see but we know it exist. Because some of us can sense the energy, while the most of us can see the behavior of that group and can see the results in their sales.

So? How do you become successful in that office or in that best money corner?

Align, Resonate, and Vibrate with Feng Shui Energies

The answer is to align, resonate, or vibrate the same frequency as feng shui energy.
The faster you resonate with feng shui energy, the faster results you will see.

And since we don’t what frequency or energy that money corner has, you could either follow this emotion frequency chart…
Or what I recommend is to start off with 1.) a positive mind set or can-do attitude, 2.) adjust when needed, and 3.) watch for positive results.

This may seem simple, but not the easiest because most of us don’t have that self-awareness to consistently keep a positive mindset & positive emotion in check.

Results in 2 to 3 Months

For example, I have client who is into feng shui, knows it works, and want to give it try. But once it’s time to move beds around and to add items into the room, she was actually fearful of her husband’s opinion. She was able to get some of the feng shui placement done, but not all. And so, she jumps between the fear and neutrality frequencies where it took her about 2-3 months to see results.

Results in 1 to 2 Weeks

As for me, it took me about a week to see money luck happening. I was desperate at that time because wealth, health, and relationship all fell downward, but I was willing and open to try anything. And so after I moved my nursery plant to my money corner, my dad call me about a week later wanting to pay back the money he owed me 10 years ago. My dad don’t pay back money he borrows from his children. But because I willingly activated my money corner with an open mind, I fall into the willingness frequency and saw money luck happening in a week.

Results in 0 to 3 Days

And lastly, this client here. This client of mine has always been very loving and accepting person who cares for whoever walks into her home. Ever since she got a consultation with me, she adjusted her home based off of my report and her intuition, and found money everywhere, literally. The more money she found, the more joyful she felt. So her emotion started at 350, Acceptance, and went upward to 540 Joy frequency and got instant money luck results.

Conclusion

Results vary and not guaranteed because we are working with unseen feng shui energy. And since we do not know what frequency to vibrate, we want to, at least, start with a positive mindset, adjust, and watch for positive results.

This consultation package looks for an auspicious location and direction for ONE bed, desk, or stove within 5.625 degrees. ONE auspicious day and time to move the item is also included in this package.

This consultation package uses a combination of advanced feng shui method and advanced feng shui date selection method to match or sync the energies between the home, the main income earner, and the day and time.

Since this package involves the main income earner and a home, I will need:

Address of the building (so that I can confirm the direction).
The item that you want to find an auspicious direction for.
Floor plan of the building and which room the item is in.
Date of birth of the person (You may include hour of birth if you know it).

True date and time specifically to your gua/kua/astrology is limited and it can go as far as 2 months to 12 months. The more parties involved, the less auspicious dates there are. And so, I recommend moving the bed, desk, or stove as soon as you can and then readjust again in the auspicious date.

5 Money Corner Secrets Feng Shui Masters Will Never Say

Besides the complex information about feng shui, there are five (5) secrets feng shui masters, practitioners, or gurus will never tell. Well, there are more than five, but today I will share five.

I grew up with some feng shui information, but it was not enough to fully practice it. So I took bits of pieces of information from all sources and from books to articles to different practitioners. Big mistake! Because now that I am feng shui practitioner learning from a feng shui master, I know better and have learned the secrets that most feng shui practitioners will never say. And I’m sharing these secrets with you all today.

Secret #1 - Money Corner is Forever Moving and Changing

Feng shui energy is a forever moving and changing energy just like wind and water. This means that the best money corner located in the southeast corner does not stay in the southeast forever.

My mind was blown when I found out that best money corners move around every 20 years, yearly, monthly, daily, and every 2 hours. Of course, I do not expect anyone to chase after best money corners on a daily or 2-hourly basis. At least once a year. And, at most, every month.

Solution:
Consulting with a properly trained classical flying star feng shui practitioner is the best practice to activate best money corners, at least, for the year. And if the practitioner is good, he or she can determine when to activate and when not to activate money corners on a monthly basis.

Secret #2 - Money Corner has Money, Health, and Relationship Energies

All directions including the center have money, health, AND relationship energies, but only three (3) are good.

This means that when feng shui practitioners advise to activate a money corner, they are not looking at the big picture. They’re not saying that the good money corner also has health and relationship energies.

Although the corner has good money energy, it could have good or bad health and relationship energies.

Yin yang plays a big part. And so, all directions including the center have positive and negative traits for money, for health, and for relationship.

Examples

In this example, we can see three good money energies/corners/directions and three good health and relationship energies/corners/directions while everything else is either okay or bad.

Just by looking at this chart, the chances of activating for good money along with good health and relationship is about 11.1%. At least, for this client. Remember all home, office, or space has its unique permanent energy with its unique money corners.

Let’s say that in a perfect world, we have all three corners with good money, health, and relationship energies. That will leave us with six areas/corners with bad money, health, and relationship energies.

Solution:
To fully practice feng shui is to understand what’s important at this moment. Is it wealth? Or health and relationship? And then work with a practitioner to reduce or suppress negative feng shui energies first, before activating and supporting positive feng shui energies if there are any.

Secret #3 - Money Corner is Constantly Transferring Energies

Energies cannot be created or destroyed but it can be transferred, including feng shui energies.

When feng shui masters advise items to be placed in money corners, those items are transferring energies and supporting the feng shui energies, while the feng shui energies are also transferring and supporting the items. The cycle keeps going until it reaches equilibrium.

Solution:
So the bigger or more yang the item is, the bigger and more yang energies are being transferred.

Secret #4 - We are Part of Money Corner Transferring Cycle

This leads to secret #4 that feng shui masters will never tell.

We are part of the transferring cycle between the item and feng shui energies.

Solution:
It is best to get in the picture. In this case, to physically be in that best money corner at the right time.

This is why bed placements and desk placements are important. It is good to move beds and desks every 20 years, but it is better to move them, at least, once a year. It is best to move them every month, but that is already too much time and effort. But if it was small feng shui items, that item can be moved on a monthly basis.

This is why I update my clients on one direction on a monthly level. Because I talking about the combination and complexity between all three levels of time: 20-year, yearly, and monthly feng shui energies; and the positive and negative effects between wealth, health, and relationship; how to use the energies.

Secret #5 - Still have to Work for Wealth

This leads to the last secret that feng shui practitioners will never say.

After activating best money corners and absorbing auspicious feng shui energies, we still have to go out and obtain wealth, health, relationship, or whatever goals we want to pursue.

It seems like a no brainer, I am surprised at how many people don’t know or didn’t put the connection together. That's because feng shui gurus were telling us to place water fountains, family pictures, plants, and all sorts of things in the money corner and then that’s it. As if wealth and prosperity will magically grow from that corner or fall on our lap.

Solution:
It does not work like that. Money, abundance, and prosperity do not grow from money corner and do not fall on our lap, nor fly into our back yard. We still have to go get wealth, health, and relationship.

This is why I update my my clients on a monthly basis where I recommend using auspicious areas and using auspicious front doors.

Conclusion

So the next time we take advises from feng shui practitioners or obtain information, take note to see which practitioners mention any of these five secrets.

Avoid Red for Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, and Other Areas for 2022

Happy Lunar New Year!

Chinese New Year is separate from Feng Shui. We don’t need to celebrate Chinese New Year to bring good chi, good luck, prosperity, or wealth into our home and our lives.

Practicing Feng Shui alone on it’s own is already working with earth energy to bring in those auspicious energies into our home, office, space, and lives.

But if it’s part of custom, tradition, or just simply want to celebrate and get involved in Chinese Lunar New Year, let's celebrate. But be careful with using red.

Also, be cautious when using red for Valentine's Day.

It is tradition to use red for Chinese New Year because red symbolizes good luck, joy, and happiness. And red is also believed to ward off evil spirits and bad luck.

As for Feng Shui, red is the fire elemental color. And it’s a powerful color. This red fire color is used to destroy metal, reduce wood, and support earth.

Some spaces cannot take the color red. Some front doors facing a certain direction cannot take the color red. Because this red fiery color supports an inauspicious feng shui energy, the number 5 earth element.

All Feng Shui energy has its yin and yang, positive and negative traits. The #5 Feng Shui energy has mainly negative traits that can cause relationship problems, severe health issues, loss of wealth, and other negative outcomes.

If we look at the 5 Element, we can see that fire, in our case, the color red, supports the #5 Yellow energy. This means that the more red we have, the more we support the #5 earth energy.

And where is the number 5 located at for 2022? The center. This is not good for those who have front doors that opens to the center of the home or for those who have family rooms in the center or those who have kitchens in the center. The more red fire color and fire element there are in the center, the more this undesirable 5 energy is activated.

Another area to look out for is the #2 in the SW. The #2 is also known as the #2 Illness Star. The #2 is also an earth element. Thus, the fiery red color will support the #2 earth element where it’ll increase the illness energy in health, wealth, and relationship. So if your front door faces SW direction, do not decorate the patio and exterior front door with red.

I would also exclude celebrating in the west where the number 7 is located at. The #7 is also known as the #7 Robbery Star. It robs health, wealth, and relationships. Although the #7 is a metal element, the fiery red color destroys the #7 metal. It is more difficult to control destruction. We want to keep peace and keep things balanced.

Also, people activate, move, rotate, and absorb feng shui energies. Thus, the longer we celebrate in the west room, the more we activate and absorb the #7 Robbery Star.

And lastly, I would not celebrate or decorate the NE room with red for February, as well. And if your front door faces the NE direction, do not decorate the patio and exterior front door with red for February.

This is only at the annual feng shui energy level. How does the permanent feng shui energy of the home, office, or space look like?

Alright. It's fin to use splashes of red for the festivities--minor splashes of red. Small items such as a vase of red flowers, red throw pillows, or other small red décor in those rooms and at those directions. Do not go all out with red table cloth, red banners and signs, or rows of red lanterns, or a grand red flower tree. Stick to small splashes of red in those rooms and at those directions. Remember, the more red there are, the more we feed to the inauspicious feng shui energies.
