 We always hear how important it is to properly feng shui the bedroom with placements. BUT we don't hear how important it is to sleep in the most auspicious (friendly feng shui energy) room. Last week, I've been having the urge to write children's book again. But I find myself writing several blogs and upcoming video scripts instead, which I have not done in months. I have also noticed that both my children are reading more books last week and this week. (Yesterday, my 4-year-old read a Gerald and Piggie book all by herself, with help on 2 to 3 words. Most of the time, she would need help reading over half the book.) What are the odds that all three of us, who sleep in the same room, became clever about the same time? Maybe it's the energy in our bedroom that promotes mental capability and intelligence this month?  Having an auspicious feng shui energy in the bedroom helps daily activities and general well-being because we sleep and absorb the these energies about 8 hours a day. Spring Equinox (Chunfen, 春分) is the midpoint for spring in the Chinese calendar where day and night are equally long. The feng shui energy for today, March 21, 2023, is Enclosed. I like to refer today's energy as Earth Day because the energy is low and non-moving as if it were living near or underground. And thus, it is not a good day for major activities and events, especially not for groundbreaking events. Instead, today is a great day to create a space for growth and success. Although today's energy is welcoming, the front door of your building may not be because feng shui day energy is different from feng shui building energy. Feng shui can be so confusing. He does this. And she does that. Each practitioner has their own way of doing things. And nothing makes sense. In this article, I am referring to a highly misinterpreted and misused feng shui tool, the Bagua. Basic Feng ShuiMost people practice basic feng shui by placing a bagua map or chart over a space; thus dividing the space into 8 trigrams, 8 palaces, or 8 different directional compass.
What most people don't know is that this is not the correct way of using a bagua map. It is the very beginning or basic stage of feng shui. This way of using bagua:
Intermediate Feng ShuiIntermediate feng shui use the basic feng shui and the bagua map at another level. So instead of working with the difference of 45 degrees, intermediate feng shui works with the difference of 15 degrees, applies time, refers to a compass reading, looks at a person’s age, marital status, and family status, and focuses on the whole building and its center.
Intermediate-to-Advanced Feng ShuiIntermediate-to-advanced Feng Shui refines Intermediate Feng Shui. This level of feng shui works with 15-degree and applies to a person or thing within a room. Instead of working with the whole building, like in Intermediate Feng Shui, this level works positioning desks or beds within a room at 15 degrees placements.
Advanced Feng ShuiAdvanced Feng Shui is a precision method that takes 360 degrees and divide it into 64 parts or 64 hexagrams where we work with, look at, and recommend the difference of 5.625 degrees. This method also includes a person's energy (aka Bazi/astrology/kua or gua/DOB). At this level, we work with both a person's energy and a building's energy. Because we are working with 5.625 degrees, the chances of finding an auspicious Feng Shui earth energy that resonates or matches with a person's energy is slim. And so this method is not highly practiced.
 How Specific Do You Want to Feng Shui?
CompassThe number 1 feng shui tool any feng shui master, consultant, practitioner, guru, or enthusiast must have is a compass. And since most of my consultations are virtual, my clients must have a compass handy. At least, download a compass app onto their smartphone Although my feng shui master is hesitant about a compass app, I have not had any issues as long as it's calibrated. Luo Pan
I have a SUUNTO A-10 compass gear, and I love it! The cost of this compass is reasonable. But I love it most because it acts very similar to a luo pan where it has straight edges to obtain a compass reading. Why a Compass?A compass is important because the energy of the building or the feng shui DNA of the building depends on the direction the building faces. A compass is also used to find the most auspicious feng shui directions for beds, desks, and computer/laptop screens. I use a compass to find the most auspicious feng shui direction for client meetings, video recordings, tarot card readings, and other events. Feng Shui EnergyAll feng shui energies have different characteristic traits. And so, I use the different directions for different purposes and events. Also, feng shui energies change every twenty (20) years, yearly, monthly, daily, and 2-hourly. And so I change direction for this reason as well. Using Auspicious Feng Shui Direction for ManifestationI also use a compass to find the most auspicious directions for meditation, visualization, and manifestation works. It makes sense that since I am currently practicing feng shui, I might as well combine other metaphysical methods to increase outcome. And so, most of my meditation and manifestation works are done in my best wealth rooms, at my best money corners, and face the best feng shui direction. Best Direction to Face for June, July, and August 2022In the above YouTube video, I stated the most auspicious direction to face when meditating, visualizing, and manifesting for June, July, and August of 2022. But, that direction is a general auspicious feng shui direction. I do not recommend using this direction to work at a work station because the permanent feng shui energy of the room and the desk placement are unknown. Working at an unknown feng shui location and placement for eight (8) plus hours everyday could be detrimental. As for meditating and manifesting, these events do not go for long hours a day where negative feng shui energies would be absorbed enough to make a big negative impact. But if anyone choose to take a risk of using the mentioned direction at a work station, watch for signs. Change direction once bad luck starts to occur. Thank you for reading. A long time ago when I was ready to get a feng shui consultation for my 2-bedroom apartment, I couldn’t find a website that listed their prices. I had to fill out a bunch of questions and wait for someone to reach out to me weeks later. When I started my feng shui business, I had a hard time setting my prices because I couldn’t base it on what other consultants were charging. And so I started consulting at a flat fee of $188USD for each home. The below feng shui pricing are from unknown sources. I'm not sure how accurate they are and where they get their statistics, but this will help us have some idea on how much these feng shui consultation cost. I will also share how much some of my colleagues charge for their services, at least, those that were willing to share in our lineage. Fixr noted that the average cost is $400 and that the typical price ranges between $200 and $1,500.  HomeAdvisor noted that the average cost is $827 and that the typical price ranges between $591 and $1,534.  Homesace had an average pricing of $700, where the typical price ranges between $300 and $1,500.  As for my colleagues, one of them charge by square footage of the space. I am not sure how much per square footage because he just started his feng shui business. As for the two colleagues that were willing to share in our group, one of them charge a flat fee of $800 per home and the other one charge a flat fee of $1,000 per home. As we can see, feng shui prices vary by a big degree because there are no regulations for feng shui. Some consultants charge a flat fee while others charge based on experience, size of home, hourly, number of people, complexity of the assessment, and many other variations. At least, we now know that the maximum feng shui consultation for the last couple of years (2021-2022) should be no higher than $1,534 for a residential home. Grand clocks that stand from the floor are high-priced and are usually heavy. For someone, like me, who move things around on a monthly basis, grand clocks are not an ideal moving object. So the next best items are wall and desk clocks. It is best that the pendulum or the moving item is made of metal element. But if there are none that are attractive, then any other elements would work. And so I prefer something smaller and have purchased this beautiful Howard Miller Paulina Wall Clock to activate my money corner. And since it's made of mostly metal iron, I've stop the pendulum and placed it in a room that needed more metal element. Let’s say that our best money corner is an office that generates a lot of money. Your current goal is to get into that office and generate lots of money too. You end up transferring into that office and now you are part of that team. That office will have a certain type of office environment. It could be fun, challenging, ambitious, professional, face-paced, motivating, collaborative. It could be toxic or unhealthy. All you know is that that office generates lots of money, but really you wouldn’t know until you get there and worked there for a while. That office environment is feng shui energy. It’s something we cannot see but we know it exist. Because some of us can sense the energy, while the most of us can see the behavior of that group and can see the results in their sales. So? How do you become successful in that office or in that best money corner? Align, Resonate, and Vibrate with Feng Shui EnergiesThe answer is to align, resonate, or vibrate the same frequency as feng shui energy. The faster you resonate with feng shui energy, the faster results you will see. Of course, I do not expect anyone to chase after best money corners on a daily or 2-hourly basis. At least once a year. And, at most, every month. Solution: Consulting with a properly trained classical flying star feng shui practitioner is the best practice to activate best money corners, at least, for the year. And if the practitioner is good, he or she can determine when to activate and when not to activate money corners on a monthly basis. Secret #2 - Money Corner has Money, Health, and Relationship EnergiesAll directions including the center have money, health, AND relationship energies, but only three (3) are good. This means that when feng shui practitioners advise to activate a money corner, they are not looking at the big picture. They’re not saying that the good money corner also has health and relationship energies. Although the corner has good money energy, it could have good or bad health and relationship energies. Yin yang plays a big part. And so, all directions including the center have positive and negative traits for money, for health, and for relationship. Examples
Secret #3 - Money Corner is Constantly Transferring EnergiesEnergies cannot be created or destroyed but it can be transferred, including feng shui energies. When feng shui masters advise items to be placed in money corners, those items are transferring energies and supporting the feng shui energies, while the feng shui energies are also transferring and supporting the items. The cycle keeps going until it reaches equilibrium. Solution: So the bigger or more yang the item is, the bigger and more yang energies are being transferred. Secret #4 - We are Part of Money Corner Transferring CycleThis leads to secret #4 that feng shui masters will never tell. We are part of the transferring cycle between the item and feng shui energies. Solution: It is best to get in the picture. In this case, to physically be in that best money corner at the right time. This is why bed placements and desk placements are important. It is good to move beds and desks every 20 years, but it is better to move them, at least, once a year. It is best to move them every month, but that is already too much time and effort. But if it was small feng shui items, that item can be moved on a monthly basis. This is why I update my clients on one direction on a monthly level. Because I talking about the combination and complexity between all three levels of time: 20-year, yearly, and monthly feng shui energies; and the positive and negative effects between wealth, health, and relationship; how to use the energies. Secret #5 - Still have to Work for WealthThis leads to the last secret that feng shui practitioners will never say. After activating best money corners and absorbing auspicious feng shui energies, we still have to go out and obtain wealth, health, relationship, or whatever goals we want to pursue. It seems like a no brainer, I am surprised at how many people don’t know or didn’t put the connection together. That's because feng shui gurus were telling us to place water fountains, family pictures, plants, and all sorts of things in the money corner and then that’s it. As if wealth and prosperity will magically grow from that corner or fall on our lap. Solution: It does not work like that. Money, abundance, and prosperity do not grow from money corner and do not fall on our lap, nor fly into our back yard. We still have to go get wealth, health, and relationship. This is why I update my my clients on a monthly basis where I recommend using auspicious areas and using auspicious front doors. ConclusionSo the next time we take advises from feng shui practitioners or obtain information, take note to see which practitioners mention any of these five secrets.

We don’t need to celebrate Chinese New Year to bring good chi, good luck, prosperity, or wealth into our home and our lives. Practicing Feng Shui alone on it’s own is already working with earth energy to bring in those auspicious energies into our home, office, space, and lives. But if it’s part of custom, tradition, or just simply want to celebrate and get involved in Chinese Lunar New Year, let's celebrate. But be careful with using red. Also, be cautious when using red for Valentine's Day.
All Feng Shui energy has its yin and yang, positive and negative traits. The #5 Feng Shui energy has mainly negative traits that can cause relationship problems, severe health issues, loss of wealth, and other negative outcomes.
Another area to look out for is the #2 in the SW. The #2 is also known as the #2 Illness Star. The #2 is also an earth element. Thus, the fiery red color will support the #2 earth element where it’ll increase the illness energy in health, wealth, and relationship. So if your front door faces SW direction, do not decorate the patio and exterior front door with red. I would also exclude celebrating in the west where the number 7 is located at. The #7 is also known as the #7 Robbery Star. It robs health, wealth, and relationships. Although the #7 is a metal element, the fiery red color destroys the #7 metal. It is more difficult to control destruction. We want to keep peace and keep things balanced. Also, people activate, move, rotate, and absorb feng shui energies. Thus, the longer we celebrate in the west room, the more we activate and absorb the #7 Robbery Star. And lastly, I would not celebrate or decorate the NE room with red for February, as well. And if your front door faces the NE direction, do not decorate the patio and exterior front door with red for February. This is only at the annual feng shui energy level. How does the permanent feng shui energy of the home, office, or space look like? It is best to get consultation to know for sure if a space can take the color red for Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day, Christmas, or general decorations. Small items such as a vase of red flowers, red throw pillows, or other small red décor in those rooms and at those directions. Do not go all out with red table cloth, red banners and signs, or rows of red lanterns, or a grand red flower tree. Stick to small splashes of red in those rooms and at those directions.
